Refresh Growing Strong and Bar Camp Dallas Around the Corner

For anyone who didn’t think we had much of a web standards and design pulse here in Dallas, it looks like you were wrong. (Myself included.) We had our second Refresh Dallas meeting last night with Josh Williams of Firewheel, Blinksale, and Icon Buffet fame present on “Branding Web 2.0”. The meeting was another great success with about 65 in attendance.

With the success of Refresh and the fact that we do have a strong tech heartbeat here in Dallas, I want to take a moment and bring the upcoming Bar Camp Dallas to the spotlight. It’s being held January 28th at the Infomart, and is shaping up to be extremely promising.

With a day of impromptu presentations ranging from web standards and design all the way to robotics, there’s sure to be a little something for everyone, and it’s the perfect warmup for SXSW. Make sure to stop by the wiki, sign up for a presentation, or get in touch with the powers that be to help out and get involved.

It is so good to hear from you again after 3 weeks! How I wish these events are also available in Asia!

I hope that the first Refresh Los Angeles will be as much of a success as Dallas is, or at least that it eventually becomes as such. It’s good to hear how well everything is going.

I, unfortunately, just found out about the Bar Camp Dallas was this Saturday. I’m sitting in a hotel in Atlanta and won’t be able to make it this Saturday… Is this something that is going to happen on a regular basis? Also, I’d love to get some more info on the Refresh Dallas meetings… I’ve added my email at that site, but was curious how often those meetings occur…

Great site. I used your Visio shapes just this afternoon for a site I’m proposing in the morning…
